Few business strategies fail because they are wrong. They more frequently fail because of a lack of execution more than anything else. That's the "strategy trap" – you know what to do but you fail at execution. You over-focus on polished ideas but short-change the conditions and work needed to turn those ideas into reality.

To avoid the strategy trap, focus on the "Six C's of Execution" – Co-Creation, Clarity, Capacity, Communication, Coordination, and Coaching. Get the Six C's right and you align your people, eliminate confusion, build momentum, and ultimately deliver on your strategy.

Ideas don't change businesses. Execution does. Don't just talk strategy, deliver on it.

"Visionary strategies get all the spotlight, yet a plan is only as strong as the execution muscle woven into its drafting. If you treat strategy work as a standalone precursor to execution, you risk triggering the strategy trap—over-focusing on polishing ideas while short-changing the conditions people need to successfully turn them into reality. Leaders often get caught up in the thrill of new ideas and ambitious goals and skip the hard work of equipping the humans who have to bring the vision to life. The fix requires a mindset shift: Strategy and execution aren't sequential phases—they're inseparable from day one."
